Sunrise's WMS is an integrated, comprehensive and advanced warehouse management solution:
- Written in X++ code using the Microsoft Dynamics AX development environment
- Web browser based applications (used by wireless devices) are developed in .NET using the business connector
- Uses existing objects wherever possible, extending them as needed
- Introduces new objects that fully integrate to the existing objects
- Follows Microsoft Dynamics AX best practices on user interface, inheritance, etc.
- Offers a comprehensive set of warehouse management functions including inbound shipments, receiving, put away, material issue, production reporting, wave planning, picking, packing, shipping, slotting, flushing, and cycle counting
Also supports:
- Reverse logistics functions including returns, cartonization, and restocking
- Integration to 3rd party systems such as EDI solutions, bar coding packages, and parcel shipping applications

Sunrise's WMS is fully enabled for wireless devices. Forms are coded for both small and large screen wireless units and have an efficient user interface for fast and easy data entry.

Sunrise WMS uses inbound shipments to receive and put away incoming goods. Purchase orders are automatically updated. Quality audits are triggered based on vendor quality settings.

Sunrise WMS uses fulfillment orders to manage the outbound processes. Wave planning bundles multiple fulfillment orders based on user-defined criteria and warehouse work parameters.
